Discussions about the Namie Tablet project with Chris

  • Share information about the outlook, history and current status of The Namie Tablet distribution project

  • Current status and challenges of Tablet training workshops.
Code for Namie provides hands-on training sessions to Namie citizens for the usage of tablet. But there are still many challenges ahead. For example the number of participants of the training session at Ibaraki on Feb. 22 was about 30. (Supporting staff is 10). About 900 evacuated persons still live in Ibaraki prefecture from Namie. Only 3.3 % is covered and one time lesson is insufficient for them. Then we plan to provide other means in the future, say supporting bulletin board or casual help desk service at weekly Meetups. Due to budget limitation, official (budget funded) training session can not be provided in the future. So we need to create the community supporting model.

  • Discussions about what can we do or how to cope with these challenges.
